Students in Mrs. Wambold's 5th Grade Math class enjoyed their first STEM challenge! Students were challenged with a way to "Save Fred"! Working in partners they had to figure out how to get Fred (a gummy worm) inside his life preserver jacket (a lifesaver gummy) using only four paper clips. They were not allowed to touch any of the materials using their hands, only the paper clips. The students had so much fun solving their first STEM challenge!
