In Mrs. Zubrzycki’s science class, students are learning about sound waves. In one activity, students used different-sized rubber bands and strings to determine how the pitch or frequency changed when the length, tightness, and thickness of the string changed. We also used a slinky to show how sound travels, and students showed off their instrumental skills to practice pitch or frequency. We still have a lot to learn-what causes an echo, how sonic booms occur, how sound travels through different mediums, and much more! Science is so much fun!
