On April 8, 2024, WMS was treated to a celestial extravaganza as the state witnessed a partial solar eclipse. Eager students and staff gathered with their eclipse glasses, thanks to the PTO, to catch a glimpse of the cosmic dance above. While not within the path of totality, where the Moon completely obscures the Sun, students still experienced a captivating display of nature's wonders. Despite intermittent clouds, the enthusiasm remained undiminished, with students and staff marveling at the delicate crescent shape forming in the sky. The eclipse served as a reminder of the awe-inspiring beauty of the universe, fostering a sense of unity and wonder among WMS as we all shared in this cosmic spectacle.
