Each month, students love to read the latest issue of Scholastic Scope. Not only are the articles and stories interesting, but there is also a chance to enter writing contests. Cataleya Rios was chosen by Scholastic Scope as the winner for the October Writing Contest. Scholastic was highly impressed with her use of text evidence to support her answer to a reading. She received a certificate and a copy of the book, Bad Best Friend, by Rachel Vail. She will also be honored at the end of the year during the Sixth Grade Writer’s Award Ceremony.
